We've peaked.

At least in my neck of the woods, this past weekend coincided with peak foliage. And it was especially glorious this year! Such a range of reds, golds, rusts and oranges in the trees, with Saturday and Sunday being clear and sunny days to appreciate the colors.
I was in my studio all weekend for Vermont Open Studio. My dear friend Margaret Shipman joined me. Her studio is in the attic at her home in Brattleboro, and not super conducive to open studio! So I (selfishly, cause I wanted to hang with her!) invited her to bring her work in my studio for a few days!

My drive to work follows a winding river with colorful hills and quaint little villages, and for the past few weeks leading up to "peak" I've felt like a peeper in my own state (a "leaf peeper" that is).
But it's so fleeting. The colors were already starting to fade by Monday, and after a few showers and some wind, many of the leaves have been knocked off their branches. That means Vermont is about to enter it's 5th season: Stick. (We have 6 seasons: Spring, Mud, Summer, Fall, Stick, Winter) Stick season is cold, dark and dreary. It's when we break out the sweaters and fire up the woodstoves.
And as we begin to bundle in Vermont, covering up our necklines with sweaters and scarves, earrings take center stage. So I thought for this first Workbench Wednesday, I'd feature a few of my favorite new earring designs!

First up are these stunners! Sterling silver, 14k Gold Fill and sky blue Larimar. The gold petals are pinned with sterling wire, giving them subtle movement. These really shine in person, and look especially good with a ponytail and a swipe of lipgloss.
I'm calling them Larimar Anemone, because anemone is so fun to say (but also because they remind me of that beautiful bloom)
You can find them here!

These earrings answer the question we all ask before taking a giant leap of faith: "But what if I fall?"
"Oh my darling! But what if you FLY?!"
And finally, I know many of you have been waiting for these earrings for a long time. I've been wearing a pair for about a year, and have lost track of the number of times people have asked if they were on my website. And, taa daa, now they are!
Lily of the Valley earrings. I've never worn them and not received a compliment.

Nearly impossible to photograph in all their glory, but an absolute delight to wear.
Thanks for following along, and happy, cozy fall
